PPI Karlsruhe
The Indonesian Student Association in Karlsruhe, or also called Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Karlsruhe is an organization as a forum for Karlsruhe students from Indonesia to be able to channel intelligent and positive ideas with the aim of helping other students and helping the community. Organization is asset, with an organization, we can gain broader insight.
Establishment of
PPI Karlsruhe
PPI Karlsruhe was registered and participated in supporting PPI Jerman (Germany) in gathering Indonesian students in Germany on May 4 1956 in Bad Godesberg, Bonn. This organization was created with the aim of establishing unity, maintaining relationships to help each other, and strengthening ties of brotherhood between students in Karlsruhe. Apart from that, PPI Karlsruhe has also instilled no differences between Indonesians. Management and members of PPI Karlsruhe from any ethnicity, religion or race will always be welcomed openly.

Vacuums Experienced by PPI Karlsruhe
PPI Karlsruhe experienced a vacuum several times, with the first vacuum recorded in the period 2007-2010 after the Göttingen Manifesto. Then, in the 2022/2023 period, PPI Karlsruhe again experienced a vacuum and was finally frozen. One of the reasons PPI Karlsruhe is experiencing a vacuum is because as of 2017, all students in the Baden-Württemberg region who are not European citizens, or are not part of the European Union (EU) are charged a fee of ±1500€. Apart from these costs, in 2020, there was the disaster of the spread of the Corona virus in the world. The impact of these costs and disasters has caused a large decrease in the number of students, especially Indonesian students in the Karlsruhe area. This also makes it difficult to find fellow Indonesian students to meet each other.
PPI Karlsruhe Rises Again!
After experiencing several vacuums, PPI Karlsruhe revived again in the period 2010/2011 to 2021/2022. Then, after being frozen for the 2022/2023 period, PPI Karlsruhe turned over a new page on November 25 2023. PPI Karlsruhe has been reactivated by the President, Danu Pratama Wijanarko, together with the Ilalang Cabinet with the aim of reuniting students in order to strengthen ties of brotherhood. PPI Karlsruhe is also here to help prospective students who will study in Germany, especially in Karlsruhe.
